Getting the Most from your Website is a 7 part series which was initially created for Skyewebsites clients following the launch of a new website.
We’ve made it available to everyone because we think it’s really important for all business and website owners to make the most of their website and any investment they have made in their online presence.
Here’s an overview of each of the blog posts:
Part 1: Building an Audience & the Content Marketing Process
This blog post introduces the concept of building an audience – why it’s important and ways to go about it, as well as an overview of of content marketing. It covers the purpose & objectives of your website, ask the question “who is your audience”? and breaks down the Content Marketing Process.

Part 2 is quite simply a blog post with a dozen or more ideas for promoting your website after launch including: communication, old school tactics, social media, creating a buzz and keeping it fresh!

The purpose of this lesson is to give you a grounding in the very basics of search engine optimisation, otherwise known as SEO. Part 6. Getting the most from your website by using Social Media
Part 6 of the blog post series focusses it’s attention on how to get the most from your website using social media. We include a brief introduction to the different social media platforms, as well as 16 tips for using social media for your business.
Part 7: Review & Revise – Introduction to Google Analytics
In this blog post we walk about measuring your online business success by introducing Google Analytics and covering 21 Google Analytics Fundamentals
Each blog post includes some suggested ideas and tasks for homework encouraging you to get involved and get going!
